Know before you buy
The grade moves the price more than the size does. Here is the honest difference between the three grades we stock.
Budget
An older box that still seals completely — no leaks, solid floors, working doors. Expect surface rust and dents. The right call when the container will do a job, not win a beauty contest.
From $915 · 20ft
Best value
Certified structurally sound for shipping, wind and watertight, backed by our 5-year structural warranty. The workhorse grade for Houston storage, jobsites and small business inventory.
From $1,095 · 20ft
Premium
Made one ocean crossing, arrives looking factory-new, and carries our 20-year structural warranty. The standard choice for offices, conversions and anything customer-facing.
From $2,250 · 20ft

Built for the Gulf Coast
Corten steel walls and a gasketed door hold up to wind-driven rain far better than any wood shed — a big reason coastal counties keep a conex box on the property year-round.
Contractors across Houston's build-out use 20s and 40s as on-site lockup, cutting theft and the daily haul of tools. Renting works well for shorter projects.
The 40ft high-cube is the standard shell for a converted home office — the extra foot of headroom is what makes insulated ceilings work.
We also stock refrigerated reefer containers and open-top units for equipment that loads by crane.
150-mile radius
We own our inventory and stock it locally near the Port of Houston, so most orders deliver in as little as 24 hours, Monday through Friday. Our veteran drivers specialize in exact-spot placement.

Often within 24 hours, Monday through Friday. We own our inventory and stock it locally near the Port of Houston, so most orders placed in the morning can be delivered the next business day anywhere in our 150-mile delivery radius.
Nothing — they are the same steel box. “Conex” is the older military term (from CONtainer EXpress) that stuck around the Gulf Coast, while shipping container, cargo container and sea can all describe the same ISO-standard unit. Read the full explanation in our conex vs. shipping container guide.
Our used containers currently start at $915 for a 20ft wind-and-watertight unit, cargo-worthy units run $1,095 to $1,555, and new one-trip containers run $2,250 to $3,480 depending on size. Delivery is quoted by ZIP code, and you pay at delivery after inspecting your container.
It depends on where you are. The City of Houston, each surrounding municipality and unincorporated Harris County all set their own rules for accessory structures — and in most Houston-area subdivisions the HOA deed restrictions are what actually matter. See our Houston permits and HOA guide for the full checklist.
No. You inspect the container when it arrives and pay at delivery. Never pay a deposit to any container seller sight-unseen — it is the most common container scam in Texas, and it is the reason we structure payment this way.
A reasonably level spot, overhead clearance free of low wires and branches, and enough straight-line room for the truck — roughly 60ft for a 20ft container and 100ft for a 40ft. Set the container on blocking such as railroad ties or concrete blocks rather than bare dirt. Full detail is in our delivery and site prep guide.
